sunlady

This site is due for an overhaul!!! I haven't been in much of a blogging mood at all lately, and I found myself in this strange space of not knowing, or knowing if I even cared, of having two different blogs.
When I first got into blogging it was through Xanga. I still have my blog there, but at some point I wanted to tread the blogger waters because it seemed more "free". And it is...in many ways...but what I hadn't realized before is just how hard blogging can be in a way. Or that I have nothing to say. ;)
This was to be my "art" blog. But then I couldn't resist talking about art with my friends over at Xanga too...because they had become just that...my friends. I never really felt like I found the niche` that is "blogger". But there were a few people I met along the way, that are most likely the only people that will read this, that became as dear to me as my friends over at Xanga.
And then I just quit the whole blog scene for a bit and got all into that thing called Etsy....
Man, it just doesn't quit!
Overwhelmed brain says stop, stop, stop!!!
Turn the computer off!!!
Make some art!!!
Somewhere through out this I've been making some art. I've been learning a few new things, thought wise, about it too...
like not having to hold onto each and every piece...as in throwing some things in the "um...that didn't work" pile. I'm always trying to make mountains out of molehills, you know? ;) I try so hard to not waste supplies, turn that frown upside down, and make lemonade out of lemons. Not possible.
I could really use to go to another drawing class...it's been awhile, I can see where I could use improvement. I don't want to read it in a book. Drawing is a doing thing, in that respect. Figure drawing would be even better.
It's easy to price things really...it's all about what it means to you.
Harrison is the most important thing in my life. :)
These are all some of the thoughts I've been having. Some should be obvious, but sometimes we just need time to really sort through them.
Oh, another one...for me...getting that "Creative Every Day 2008" over there in the sidebar really isn't about showing on my blog every day what I've been doing...it is about creating, every day. It's one of those things that is right there in front of my face...but it took me the extra mile to look past my hand.
I encourage you if you want to see more art by me, or more current art by me...to check out my etsy shop...or my flickr. I am more apt to be blogging visually at those two sites. :)
But I'll be back...

;)

I'm pretty much in the same boat, always planning art but never actually making any...sigh. I guess that is the lot of the mother.
