IMT~limited palette

This painting didn't end up at all as I had started out with it. There were parts I liked so much, but that just weren't working with other things and before you know it...the whole thing is a whole other thing. I love how that works, even though it can be scary at times. The theme this week for InspireMeThursday is using a limited palette. I think this basically fits the bill. Mostly blues and greens, but there is a dash of purple in there, and perhaps a bit of white. I kept thinking that it seemed like there were twenty colors in there, but that was just the way the "yellow green" and the "Windsor blue" seemed to work together. Lots of fun to just be moving paint. This one is acrylic on watercolor paper.
My husband is out of town and with the camera, so the only camera I have isn't a very good one so the scanner has to do...and I've discovered I'm lousy at splicing together different scans to try and make a whole. The paper is 11x15. So I give you a couple of shots that best represent the painting.

Such beautiful painting! The contrast blue/green worked really well. Blue looks like night color and the vivid green a day color. It's like I can see bits of the day during the night. Amazing visuals!
