...and you could win this handsome calendar!

I am working on cleaning up this blog and making my usual New Year's resolution to post more here, or be more "interesting" or something or another. I go in spurts, as anyone who has known me via the internet for very long can testify too. I love blogs and all the formats out there, and it is easy to want to create one on every possible venue. So, for now I am going to make myself concentrate on this one more fully. (though I can say right now that that pretty little posterous site is always trying to lure me...)

To get me started, I thought I would have me a little contest. You know, one of those things where you leave a comment and the blog owner either writes out the names of all the entries and puts them in a hat and draws one out, or gets one of those random number generator's or something. Considering I'm lucky I've gotten this far with the internet, I will be opting for the writing the names down and putting them in a hat. ;) As it happens, I have found myself with one extra calendar of my calendar's I put together recently and sold. They have been printed by CafePress and are a nice heavyweight card stock type paper with a smooth, somewhat glossy finish. If you would like to see more info about one please check them out in my CP store. So my little give away is one calendar, sent to you, free of charge. Easy peasy! All you have to do is leave a comment here on this post, and make sure you leave me some way to trace back to you ifn's you should win the calendar, so I can send it to you! This is even open to anyone who might be reading this from another country. Obviously, you are going to be missing out on a few days of January...but there will be plenty of time to enjoy this calendar through out the year, if you are the lucky winner. :) I will be taking comments for entry up until midnight central standard time Friday, January 8th....and will draw the winner on Saturday, January 9th.

Okay, so ready, set, go! :)

I shall be the first, then, sweet Miriam.

I would like to have a calendar of Yours to hang upon my wall
So that I can see all the days
The year will bring to me
With strong images of mythological
And fantastical beings
above.

I don't have a calendar or an address book either.I never write things down and sometimes send the wrong drawing.BUT if I had this calendar I would keep it even when the year was over and look at it when I was an old feeble man.

I went out today to get a calendar at 50% off, and came home empty-handed. Lucky I saw your post, or else I'd have to spend the whole year calendar-less. Thank you!

Oh, I haven't won yet? Darn.

I just checked out your posterous site and your paintings are beautiful. What a great opportunity for me to win a calendar with the entire collection in it!

The calendar seems a thing of beauty- and not that I wouldn't want to have it, but If I win, I would ask you to send the calendar to Jack because he wants it so bad, it's a little worrisome.

Please put my name in the hat... if the samples are in order, one of my favorites is my birthday month.

Oh please put my name in the hat, and pull it out, too! I would LOVE to have a calendar with 12 examples of your fabulous work ! Happy New Year !

I would SO rather have this warm, human work of art hanging over my computer than the official, soulless employer calendar currently there. I am certain I would start paying attention to what day I'm in!
